CUESA Farmers Market: Harvest Festival Pumpkin Painting
Arts for Oakland Kids partnered with CUESA (Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) to host community pumpkin painting at the Harvest Festival in Jack London Square.
CUESA is a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating a sustainable food system through the operation of farmers markets and educational programs and has managed the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco since 1999. The organization recently took over the Jack London Square Farmers Market.
CUESA’s educational programs include Foodwise Kids, a free program for elementary school classes to empower the next generation of healthy eaters, and Schoolyard to Market, a youth entrepreneurship program that gives high school students the opportunity to grow food and sell it at the CUESA markets.
