Project Description

Living Jazz Children’s Project (LJCP)

The Living Jazz Children’s Project (LJCP) is a five-month music education and performance program provided free of charge to under-served Oakland public elementary schools with little or no access to the arts.

In 2019, LJCP will begin in October with 12 weekly choral classes of a curriculum in music fundamentals and choral singing, simple body percussion and performance skills for large group singing for 60 students from three classrooms at Carl B. Munck Elementary School.
