The $5,000 Laurie Pitman Award will allow Caribbean Voices at AWE to bring two music groups, Aguacero Performance and Dance Group (Aguacero) and DíaPaSón to Acorn Woodland Elementary School Music Program. 100 3rd and 4th graders will receive hands on music and dance lessons in the music from the Mexican Caribbean Port of Veracruz and the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico.
