Prescott Circus Theatre: Circus and Theater Arts Residency
at Esperanza Elementary School
Funded in partnership with Anonymous Friends, and the dedicated AOK Community.
The Esperanza Circus and Theater Arts Residency at Esperanza Elementary School will provide weekly circus and theater arts instruction for all fourth and fifth-grade classrooms and a K-2nd special day class serving students with moderate-severe disabilities. Circus performance increases spatial awareness, builds motor skills, and teaches self-regulation and calming strategies while building social skills and public speaking. Students will be taught presentation skills, juggling, and the creation of individual and collective performances. Each semester culminates in the presentation of new skills and created performances.
