Jeff Hall joins the AOK Board
Arts for Oakland Kids is thrilled to welcome Jeff Hall to our Board of Directors. Oakland has been Jeff’s home for 42 years. He previously worked as a private practice attorney and also served as the Legislative Director for the SF AIDS Foundation. Jeff recently retired from the University of California, where he worked on policy and legislative issues related to UC’s research enterprise.
In the midst of his busy professional career, Jeff served as the PTO president and an after-school art program instructor at one of his sons’ Oakland public school. “I have seen first-hand the critical role that the arts play in enriching children’s lives and education,” shares Jeff. “I also witnessed how arts programs provide community building essential to the success of schools.”
Nowadays Jeff enjoys traveling, volunteering, gardening, and spending time with his dogs and other friends. He loves Oakland and is passionate about the well-being of all the people who live here.
We’re excited that Jeff is bringing that passion and dedication to AOK and look forward to collaborating with him in providing arts education to the kids who need it most.
Welcome aboard, Jeff!
