Marisa Rheem is a Contemporary Figurative acrylic painter with a concentration on street fashion. Born in 1989 in Washington D.C., she currently resides in the Bay Area and works out of her studio in Oakland, CA. In 2014, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, NM. Her 2020 solo exhibition, “Momentary Captivation,” was displayed at the International Art Museum of America in San Francisco. Two of her paintings were accepted into the de Young Museum for a juried show titled, “de Young Open.” Marisa has been featured in multiple, juried shows at the San Francisco Women Artists Gallery (SFWAG), including the “Bold Colors” show where she was awarded the Juror’s Choice award, and the current “Capture the Moment” show where her paintings have sold out.
